What is Crack Sealing?
Cracks on an asphalt pavement are unsightly, but more importantly, they can be dangerous. Crack sealing is the process of filling cracks in asphalt with a hot rubberized crack sealer to repair the cracks and prolong the life of your asphalt pavement. The crack sealer is heated and applied at 350 degrees Fahrenheit – both to the crack’s walls and on top of the cracked pavement to create an airtight seal.
Experts ensure there is enough sealer between the cracks to let asphalt contract and expand without cracking/breaking.
Black And Yellow Pavement Inc. offers crack sealing services that will leave your pavement looking new. Our crack sealing experts will arrive at your location on time and get the job done quickly without compromising quality.
Black And Yellow Pavement Inc.’s Crack Sealing Process
Step 1: Our experts visit your location, identify the cracks, and assess the damage to determine if crack sealing is required. Next, we provide you with a quotation.
Step 2: Our team uses a high torque marathon carbide-tip crack router to route all the eligible cracks for crack sealing. The team also clears all debris for efficient sealer application.
Step 3: Now, we seal the cracks using a mobile material applicator with an overbending strike-off shoe to ensure consistent, neat material width to fill the routed cracks. This guarantees all cracks are properly bonded and provides a long joint life.
